Our Approach
My Approach
It is imperative that I am passionate about my clients' causes. By working with organizations whose missions and services I believe in strongly, I can bring my best strategies and solutions, along with a healthy dose of enthusiasm and energy.
I understand that you have limited time and resources. My role is to work with you to assess your challenges, identify opportunities, and then, together, we will make a plan to move forward toward success!
My clients see me not just as a consultant, but as a valued member of their team.
Our Story
My Story
After an exhilarating, action-packed, 15-year career in marketing and communications at nonprofit arts organizations, I decided it was time to make a change. Shift focus.
What I loved most in my prior work was thinking big and then working out all the small details to see an idea to fruition.
I loved how one small, creative idea could make a big impact. Attention to the details—whether it's a hand-written thank-you note to a donor or the perfect editorial touch on a program brochure—can make all the difference.
I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and help organizations make incremental, but powerful, changes that will allow them to grow and thrive as they work to serve their mission.
My Background
I am a Virginia-based marketing, fundraising, and communications consultant, focused on working with nonprofits, arts organizations, and artists.
Before starting my own consulting firm, I spent seven years as the Director of Marketing for Barrington Stage Company (BSC), an award-winning regional theater in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. I oversaw all aspects of marketing, communications, and box office for the $4 million organization, including traditional and digital marketing, audience development, media relations, social media, and website design—and everything in between. During my time at the theater, I dramatically increased earned revenues and attendance year after year: overall ticket sales increased 75% and season pass sales grew almost 200%, bucking national trends. Additionally, annual attendance at performances and events increased 40% during my tenure.
While at BSC, I co-founded the 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival in partnership with the City of Pittsfield, MA. I helped develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for the city-wide festival, which now brings more than 7,000 people downtown each winter.
Prior to my time at Barrington Stage, my career took me around the country, where I worked with nonprofit arts organizations in Richmond, VA; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; and Pittsburgh, PA, before moving to Northern Virginia in 2015.
I received my Master of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University, where I was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society and graduated with highest distinction. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Richmond, Virginia.
I live in Leesburg, Virginia, with my husband and two children.
